It's interesting that based on DVOA, at least, the best 49ers teams have been recent, not the 1980s Montana or 1990s Young teams. Here are the best 49ers teams by DVOA through 5 games.

Do you think we have the 49ers too high in Super Bowl odds? They're No. 1 in DAVE and they have the 2/3-game lead over the two other top teams of the NFC. But we all feel like more injuries are coming…

I think the markets are underestimating the value of the 49ers being 5-0 and 3-0 in their division. Right now we have them in our playoff odds report as the runaway SB favorite because they're the top team and have that 5-0. But what if they weren't the top team? ftnfantasy.com/nfl/dvoa-pla…

49ers UNDEFEATED at the top of the NFC West 😤

49ers DE Nick Bosa might be able to return next Monday night vs. Washington. "We know he's got a chance," Kyle Shanahan said today. "I think him, [FB] Kyle Juszczyk and [DL] James Thompson [Jr.] are all kind of in the same boat. They’ve all got a chance, but definitely not saying they're good to go right now. We’ve got to continue to evaluate them throughout the week and it'll take all week, but hopefully they can get there.”

More trade details: The 2027 7th-round pick going to Arizona from Houston is the pick that the Texans received from the 49ers in 2024 in exchange for DT Khalil Davis.

Per the NFL: 49ers linebacker Dre Greenlaw has been suspended without pay for one game for an act of unsportsmanlike conduct during Sunday’s game against the Seattle Seahawks.   During the second quarter, Greenlaw used his helmet to headbutt Seattle linebacker Ernest Jones IV, who was not wearing a helmet, violating Rule 12, Section 3, Article 1, which applies to “any act which is contrary to the generally understood principles of sportsmanship.”   Greenlaw will be eligible to return to the 49ers’ active roster on Tuesday, October 20, following the team’s October 19 game against the Washington Commanders.   Under the Collective Bargaining Agreement, Greenlaw may appeal the suspension. Any appeal will be heard and decided upon by either Derrick Brooks, Jordy Nelson, Ron Rivera, or James Thrash, the hearing officers jointly appointed and compensated by the NFL and NFLPA to decide appeals of on-field player discipline.
