The Giants are signing veteran DE Dawuane Smoot to the practice squad, per source. New York also worked out Yannick Ngakoue and Julian Owkara today. But they’re signing Smoot, who had played eight of his nine NFL seasons in Jacksonville.

[Solak] Not that it needed double checking, but I asked ESPN Research anyway: In the play-by-play era (since 1978), Commanders-Giants is the first game to end in an overtime tie with the final snap of the game an offensive snap inside the opponent's 25 yard line. twitter.com/BenjaminSola…

New column: Trying to make sense of the Marvin Harrison trade for the Texans and whatever the Commanders did at the end of yesterday's game against the Giants, which was about 70% coaches, 30% Jayden Daniels http://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/...

FINAL: The Giants and Commanders tie.

A wild finish to Giants-Commanders game

Did we just get some wrong overtime rules from the broadcast in Giants-Commanders?

Um, are the Giants exchanging Winston and McCarthy every play right now like the Cowboys with Staubach and Morton?

Giants are in lone possession of first place in the NFC East for the first time since November 2015, when their QB was Eli Manning and their HC was Tom Coughlin.

RT @rydunleavy: #Giants will have Skattebo, Likely, Nabers and Thomas, so the offense is whole. Skattebo laughed off injury: "I literally had a little bit of muscle tightness in my back, and over the last couple of days I’ve worked it out and I feel great."

Commanders HC Dan Quinn confirmed that Jayden Daniels will start on Sunday vs. Giants.

Commanders QB Jayden Daniels will start Sunday vs. the Giants, but WR Stefon Diggs will be out due to a hamstring injury.

RT @DDuggan21: Bunch of encouraging injury/attendance developments for the Giants: WR Malik Nabers (knee) was participating in the open portion of practice. RB Najee Harris (personal) was back. LT Andrew Thomas (groin) didn’t do much, but at least was on the practice field.
